Terms of service
Terms of service
Plain-English terms for everything Foundry sells. Effective October 17, 2026.
Foundry is John Roberts, doing business as Foundry, a small business in Poland, Ohio ("I," "we"). Joshua Hendrix is co-founder. These terms cover the free homepage sample, the $99 homepage rewrite, the $39 Fix Your Own Homepage guide, one-page and full websites, online stores, and the monthly Google review plans. When you pay, you agree to these terms, along with our refund policy and privacy policy.
1. The free homepage sample
The sample is free, one per business. No card, no sales call, and you never have to buy anything. I rewrite the top of your homepage and send you 3 fixes, usually within one business day. You can use the sample however you like. Paying for the full rewrite is up to you: see the free sample first, and pay $99 only if you want the full rewrite.
2. Homepage rewrite ($99)
- What you get: New words for your homepage, including the headline, services, towns, and a clear "call us" section. You get simple steps for where each part goes, on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, or any site.
- Price: $99, one time, paid up front through Stripe. No monthly fee.
- Timing: Done within 3 business days after you send the short form. If I can't make it, I'll tell you before the deadline, and you can wait or get a full refund.
- Putting it live: I'll put it live for you, or send your web person exact steps. Every rewrite gets tested on a phone.
- Redo and refund: If you're not happy with it, I redo it once, free. If you still don't like it after the redo, you get every dollar back within 14 days of getting the redo.
- 30-day fix: If anything on your page breaks in the first 30 days because of my work, I fix it free.
3. Fix Your Own Homepage guide ($39)
- What you get: A step-by-step guide with checklists for fixing the top of your homepage, your services and towns, and your call-us section. It's a digital download, delivered right after you pay.
- $39 credit: Email johnroberts@foundryjr.com from the address you bought the guide with, within 30 days of buying it, and you get $39 off the $99 homepage rewrite. The credit is good once, for one business. It can't be exchanged for cash, and it expires 30 days after you buy the guide.
- License: The guide is for you and your own business. Please don't resell it or share it publicly.
- Refund: See the refund policy.
4. One-page website ($300), full website ($650), and online stores
- Before I start, I'll quote the price, what's included, and the timing in writing. If that written quote is different from these terms, the quote wins. That includes any launch deal.
- Paying: Half up front, and the rest when the site goes live.
- Redo and refund: If you're not happy with what I send, I redo it once. Still not happy after the redo? Ask for a refund within 14 days of delivery, and you get back what you paid, except money already spent on your domain and hosting. If I redo it, the 14 days start when you get the redo.
- Your domain and site are yours. The domain and any accounts are set up in your name wherever possible. I don't hold your site hostage.
- Third-party costs: Domain, hosting, store platform, and app fees are paid to those companies, and they're covered by those companies' own terms.
5. Monthly Google review plans (Basic $99, Standard $149, Pro $199 a month)
- Plans are billed monthly, in advance, starting the day you sign up. The plan you pick and its price are confirmed in writing before your first charge.
- No contract. Cancel anytime before your next month starts, by replying to any email from me or writing to johnroberts@foundryjr.com, and you won't be charged again. A month that has already started isn't refunded.
- To answer your reviews and update your listing, I need manager access to your Google Business Profile. You can remove my access at any time. I write replies in your voice, and I won't post anything false.
6. What I need from you
True information about your business: your services, towns, phone number, licenses, and any claims you want made. You're responsible for the facts you give me, and for having the rights to any photos or logos you send. I won't make up reviews, stats, or claims. If something on your site isn't true or can't be backed up, I'll tell you to take it off.
7. Who owns the work
Once you've paid in full, the words and site I make for you are yours to keep and use however you like. I may keep a private copy for my records. I won't use your business name or work in my marketing without your OK. Free samples and example sites are shown only with details hidden, or for made-up shops.
8. No guarantee of results
I write clearer websites, but I can't promise a number of calls, sales, reviews, or a Google ranking. Results depend on things I don't control, like your market, prices, and Google. Example sites are made-up shops, and they show the work, not a promise of results.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, my total liability for anything related to my work is limited to what you paid me for that work in the last 12 months. I'm not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, like lost profits, or for problems caused by your web host, site builder, Google, or other third parties. Other than the promises on this page and in the refund policy, the work comes without other warranties, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Some states don't allow these limits, so some may not apply to you. Nothing here takes away a right the law says you can't give up.
10. Problems and disputes
If something's wrong, email me first. I'll fix it or refund you under the refund policy, and that's usually faster than disputing the charge with your bank. These terms are governed by Ohio law. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts serving Mahoning County, Ohio.
11. Changes
I may update these terms. Your purchase is covered by the version in effect on the day you paid. The effective date is at the top.
